business student/new real estate agent need advice where to begin?

Oh my apologies Scott, im only 23 and I have talked to many people of my goals and i have met with much criticism. All i am ALWAYS offered is negativity. I am just sick of people telling me “The real estate market is horrible right now” “Why would you want to do that? all those people are looking for jobs” “There is no money in real estate right now nothing is selling.” I have read the articles in fortune and money magazines and have seen the stories of people picking up foreclosures for pennies on the dollar all across the country and making money from them. I would love to start investing right now, the only problem is, I am currently a student, I work part time as a pharmacy technician at a hospital, I only made 30k last year, I only have about 2k in the bank, and my credit score is not great. I dont think i CAN start “RIGHT NOW” not until i can get myself a better job, fix my credit and put some money away, unless I am missing something? Which i hope that I am. That is why i am here trying to find out from people who have been in my shoes and learn how to make the right decisions. So if you have any advice on where I should start it would be so greatly appreciated.
